This policy explains how Wholeboard handles information when you use the browser extension and website. Wholeboard is a Tool Shelf product operated by The Interfaces.
1. Account and sign-in information
When you use account features, Tool Shelf processes your email address and account and session details to sign you in and check whether Wholeboard access is enabled. Sign-in links and account emails are delivered by our email provider. If you consent to product updates, we record that preference and you can unsubscribe from those messages.
2. Pinterest boards and downloads
When you start a download, the extension reads the Pinterest board open in your browser, including the media URLs and pin details needed to build the archive. Your browser requests the media from Pinterest and creates the ZIP locally. Board contents and ZIP files are not uploaded to Tool Shelf or Polar. Pinterest processes requests made to its service under its own privacy practices.
3. Purchases and access
Polar handles Wholeboard checkout, prices, payments, and discount codes. After checkout, Polar sends the relevant order status to Tool Shelf so the purchase can be connected to your account and access can be enabled. Payments are processed by Polar and its payment processors; Wholeboard does not handle your full payment card details. See Polar's privacy information for details about its processing.
4. Emails and support
We use Resend to deliver sign-in links and opted-in product updates. If you choose to receive product updates, your email address and preference are used to send those updates. You can unsubscribe using the link in a marketing email.
5. Browser storage and site sessions
The extension uses Chrome's local storage for its sign-in token and operational state. The website uses session information to keep your account signed in. These functions support the product; we do not use them to build an advertising profile.
6. Extension permissions
The extension requests permissions needed to read the active Pinterest board and save the archive:
- tabs: checks the active tab to confirm it is a board page.
- scripting: reads the board when you start a download.
- downloads: saves the finished ZIP to your computer.
- storage: keeps sign-in and operational state in your browser.
- Pinterest and pinimg access: reads board content and fetches media from Pinterest.
- Wholeboard site access: signs you in and checks access to the extension.
7. Retention and questions
Tool Shelf retains account and access information as needed to operate your account and provide Wholeboard access. Board files remain on your device and follow your browser and device storage settings. For questions about your account information or this policy, contact hamza@theinterfaces.company.
